Picking Froch via UD is ridicoulous.

First fight showed exactly that Groves is levels above Cobra in terms of boxing skills.

George's footwork, balance, speed, combos and defence are much better than Froch's. Cobra's only chance to win is stoppage, he won't outbox Groves, no chance at all.

Groves will KO Froch and retire him, the only way Froch lasts the 12 if he runs and just tries to survive and he will take a heavy points loss.

But that is not Froch's character, he may try to stay away early but when Groves connects and he will Froch's natural instict will be to fire back, and he will get caught big and caught often, he walk on to Groves's shots and it could be lights out.

        I don't necessarily think so.

Assuming Froch won't get dropped and severely hurt he's tough enough to hurt anyone in any particular round and comes along like a steam train in the last part of the fight.

But if it goes 12, I would imagine a Groves victory, but Froch has beaten a lot of top fighters over 12 rounds.

Groves better pull it off because I recklessly bet all my points on him! Hopefully the fight plays out as depicted in this video from Nat Geo Lol

A truly hard fight to pick. Here's my take:

I want Froch to win. Groves is such a ****. But again this ****ish behaviour has gotten under Froch's skin again. Not as much as last time, but still clearly evident as seen in their face off with Johnny Nelson. It was as if you did not know better, you'd think that Groves had won the first fight. Froch was so much in defense mode. I think him hiring a sportspsychologist is a good move. That will help him deal with Groves's verbal jabs.

Froch does so clearly have respect for Groves. Not compared to Kessler at all as I sense Froch's respect contains some genuine doubt in his ability to be victorious here.

What speaks for Froch is that the KD in the first fight had him hurt for several rounds in which he took an awful lot of stick. If Groves doesn't catch him again this should be different.

Groves also seems to lack a bit in the stamina departement. He will have to pace himself better and not go for the KO. Groves is faster and he can outbox Froch which he must. He must outbox and counter Froch all Night.

Froch will have to box controlled behind the jab. That jab will be Froch's Key. It didn't work for him last time, which I believe was because that KD made his gameplan vanish through the Window. Or maybe Froch is as old as his birthcertificate says. He has been in so many wars and there's a good chance that he is past it by some distance.

I've been on the fence all the way through but now I have to make the pick. Both say it will end inside the distance and there is a fair chance that it will. I think it will go the distance though.

Groves by UD. Something like 8-4.

Unless something dramatic has changed between fights, I'm going with Groves by KO/TKO or a comfortable decision. He was winning the first fight handily and was not hurt at the time of stoppage, just a little tired. The dude was throwing punches as the ref jumped between them for crying out loud.

Something dramatic did change. Froch realized that he could get to Groves and land his shots and Groves was trained a different way than what clearly was winning him the first fight. He employed an amateurish left hook that left him a sucker for the overhand right.
