Comments Thread For: Khan: My Performance Made Mayweather's Look OK

British star Amir Khan believes his welterweight debut against Luis Collazo was so impressive that it boosted his chances, in the minds of the boxing public, to defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr. On May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Khan dropped Collazo three times for a lopsided twelve round unanimous decision.

The card was headlined by Mayweather, who had a tougher time than expected in winning a twelve round majority decision over Marcos Maidana to unify the WBC/WBA 147-pound titles.

If you didn't know then, you know now. Floyd ducking Khan. Been that way since last year and Floyd's recent behavior confirms it.

      It is what it is.

It's official: I now like Khan less than Broner.

Khan really wants to be the Antonio Tarver to Mayweather's Roy Jones. I would absolutely loath any scenario of Khan beating Mayweather. He will be talking about that for the rest of his inconsistent performance career.

It's going to be hilarious to watch Mayweather ignore him and choose someone else. AGAIN

Oh Amir, you are trying so hard! Bless your little soul! Haha

Can you imagine Khan in against the Maidana that fought Floyd??! He would have been out cold before the start of the championship rounds! Maidana has gotten a lot better offensively since their first fight (jab, footwork, defense, etc.) while Khan has improved marginally (at best) with Hunter.

In a firefight against a real opponent, he's gonna revert back to his spastic amateur style.

                  I would love to see:

                  Khan - Maidana II
                  Khan - Thurman
                  Khan - Broner
                  Khan - Garcia II
                  Khan - Porter

... before Khan gets anywhere near Floyd.
