Comments Thread For: Mayweather vs. Maidana Live Weigh-In Results

Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana are due to hit the scales at approximately 3:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. ET) ahead of their welterweight showdown, which takes place Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The bout - which headlines on Showtime Pay-Per-View (9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. local time) marks the first ring appearance for both fighters, who enjoyed banner campaigns in 2013. Mayweather was honored by the Boxing Writers Association of America as the 2013 Fighter of the Year, for his convincing wins over Robert Guerrero and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. The latter served as the most lucrative pay-per-view event in boxing history.

Maidana scored one of the most talked-about wins of 2013 with his major upset of Adrien Broner last December. The Argentine tough guy dropped Broner early and battered him throughout in becoming the first to defeat the brash former three-division titlist. [Click Here To Read More]

Molina is already small as it is and he comes in at 138... His punches won't even tickle Broner.

Maidana struggled to make weight. He downed that fluid soon after weigh in and had to sit down which probably means he was tired from all the running and being in the sauna. There are claims he was 146.6 in the morning but he should have struggled to make that weight.

$65 PPV. Paid $65 just for Manny/Bradley 2 and that Undercard was dump.
                  Still wondering about buying it..

Floyd's conditioning is freaky. He has a dip between his 6 pack.
