Perfect Fight Then: Thurman versus Tim Bradley In September '14!!!
Why Not? Thurman supposedly has the hot hand although he's never beaten a big name in Boxing. Neither had Brandon Rios and they gave him Pacquiao and he looked like a deer in the headlights, making for a horrible fight. So Bradley is scrappy, Bradley is the former Welterweight Champion, just fought three big names in a row and just destroyed by Pacquiao. So that would make for a statement fight. Make it a Headliner/Main Event. If Thurman dominates Bradley to a convincing win, then Thurman deserves anyone; Floyd, Pacquiao or Porter. If Bradley beats Thurman convincingly, then Bradley is still in the mix to fight any of those three champions mentioned, and Thurman isn't ready for prime time. That's a STATEMENT FIGHT. That way we don't have another deer in the headlights Rios fight all over again on the biggest of stages. Thurman needs to beat a current big name before he gets the division's best. And we're not talking Robert Guerrero either. He was a deer in the headlights with a running Mayweather, and hasn't fought since, laying at home counting his money and fighting with his former promoter. Tim Bradley is the perfect next fight for Thurman.
