Comments Thread For: Bernard Hopkins Tried to Stop Shumenov, End KO Drought

It’s been nearly a decade since Bernard Hopkins won a bout by knockout or technical knockout.

That fight was in September 2004, when Hopkins dropped Oscar De La Hoya for the count with a body shot. Since then, Hopkins has fought 16 times, going 10-4-1 with 1 no contest.

And so when Hopkins dropped Beibut Shumenov in the 11th round of their fight on Saturday, Hopkins wanted the bout to come to an end before the final bell. [Click Here To Read More]

Bhop should move to heavyweight and fight Tyson Fury. Then tempt the big guy into throwing uppercuts. He'll knock himself out and Bhop will get the credit.

Either that, or try to lure Khan into a fight at 154 and starve himself down.

Even the old fat and shot Toney of now is not easy to knock out. It was a terrible beatdown against Lebedev who is a hard hitter but Toney manged to go the distance with an leg injury. You can say what you want about Toney but the man is still tough as nails. He would never quit in a fight. Thats the only part of greatness left in him.
