How did you score Garcia vs Herrera?

some judges like bribes and other judges don't. the judges that like bribes always get hired for some strange reason.

And this right here just continues to show my argument on how ignorant most fans are to the scoring system in boxing.

If a guy can nullify Garcia's left hook, which is not the hardest punch to take away Garcia has issues.

If you let him have the left hook or just aren't careful he is a handful.

He really needs a better straight right because that is the punch you need to keep the left hook open.

I had a draw. People are giving Herrera way too much credit for throwing meaningless punches in the clinch and basically landing jabs the whole fight.

Danny had the first round, and in the middle rounds there were a ton of close rounds where both guys were landing practically the same amount of punches, Danny with the harder and more meaningful ones.

The 10th and 11th rounds were Danny's IMO. The 12th was easily Herrera.

I had a draw. Danny landed the harder punches, while Herrera landed more often but with a lot of meaningless pitty patty punches while clinching or a lot of jabs.

Also, like it's some sort of bad thing that Danny arguably lost or drew with Herrera.....Herrera isn't a big name but he's a world level fighter. The guy beat Provonikov, the new big bad boogeyman around here, and fought a tough fight with Alvarado, but was just out gunned in the end.

If Danny could have controlled the clinch better and not let Herrera jab and hold, he'd have more chances to open up with combinations and what not.

Herrera fought a hell of a fight, but I felt like too much credit was being given for Herrera not really doing much but jabbing and holding. Danny had his moments in damn near every round aside from 1-2 of them, and landed the harder clearer shots in a lot of the rounds.

But it's natural to score and root harder for the underdog. There was no robbery in this fight. Wasn't anywhere near the level of Lara-Williams, Pac-Bradley, Campillo-Cloud.

I noticed when Danny landed, but I can't recall from round to round too many clean Herrera punches that weren't jabs.

Not to say jabs don't count, they do. But when basically 3/4 of the punches you land clean are jabs, it's noticeable when the other guy lands his power shots.

It was a close fight. Even if you scored it for Herrera, it shouldn't be wide. Even Al after the fight said the "sho stats" were indicative of how close the fight was.

For a lot of the fight, he just jabbed and grabbed. Not to say he didn't fight a good fight, and I'd give it to Herrera before Danny, but I felt it was a draw. Danny won the 1st, clearly won the 11th, and I thought he landed the better punches in the 10th. In those middle rounds there a ton of close rounds where both did good work and had their moments.
