    MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Sergio "Yeyo" Thompson (29-3, 26KOs) accepted this fight on late notice and used his the power in his fists to score two knockdowns to win a ten round unanimous decision over Ricardo "Dinamita" Alvarez (23-2-3, 14KOs), the older brother of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, in a lightweight contest. The scores were 95-93, 95-93, 97-91.

    Ricardo "the real fraudnelo" should not even have been on the card! Glad he lost. Nothing worse than fighters getting special treatment walking on the coattails of family members. And the judges had to have given fraudenelo two points before the fight even started!

      Great fight and good showing by both men..Thompson is a ****er I didn't think Alvarez would make it the full ten rounds but he lasted.

        Hahah did you hear Paulie at the end of the fight talk about how horrible Alvarez's defense is given the level he is fighting at lol. Ripped him apart and i agree with your statement.

            Two of the cards were awfully close. The right man won though.

              Glad Sergio Thompson won tonight and didn't get robbed, I knew that he would come in throwing bombs as always. Credit to Ricardo Alvarez for having a great chin and being able to take the shots he took.

                ricardo alvarez is awful, i sure hope to god he doesnt spar his brother because he would be KO'D within minutes

                    can't c what the 2 judges were looking @ that scored it 95-93...w/out the knockdowns they would've had it a draw, awful scoring...
