Romford's Tony Conquest delighted his home fans as he claimed the vacant Commonwealth cruiserweight title with a landslide points win over Australian Daniel Ammann at Bethnal Green's York Hall.
The 29-year-old went into the contest as the underdog but controlled the fight from the first bell behind a stiff jab and regularly scored with heavy-handed hooks.
It looked as though Conquest (13-1 5KOs) was going to get an early night as he rocked his 31-year-old opponent in the eighth round and had him in trouble on the ropes.
