How amazing would it be though if Maidana were to beat Broner AND THEN Mayweather. 2 bragging ******* taken down by one man. I wonder what kind of legacy that would leave Maidanas or whos career it would resemble

Maidana certaintly wouldnt be remembered as an all time great but he would be that good old bar story about that one man who had beaten Broner & Mayweather. one of a story if he could pull it off the nretire!

It would be epic, I am a huge fan of both Mayweather and Maidana, and if I have to watch Mayweather eat a loss to someone other than my lifelong idol DLH, I could think of no more deserving person than Chino Maidana.

      WAR CHINO!!!!!!

People have gotten used to Floyd dominating his opponents and saying his next opponent has no chance has gotten to become cliche, but that's far from the situation here, Maidana, like he did against Broner, (And you unintelligent ones out there, no, I am not comparing Broner to Floyd) will surprise the world again by at very least giving Floyd a fight worth remembering.

Floyd is the best p4p by a considerable margin, has been for a long time, but his next four fights are his most vulnerable because he is oldest and at the end of his career openly and mentally.

Of realistic opponents, Bradley and Maidana pose realistic threats of upsetting him imo.

Obviously, I am a Floyd fan through thick and thin, so if/when Floyd fights anyone other than those two, I am not only rooting for Floyd whole heartedly, but I don't believe any other than these two (realistic) opponents has a chance anyway, and that includes Manny.

Floyd dominates maidana, possibly winning every round in turn.

What a waste of a fight floyd

I expect Maidana to hit Mayweather with something ******.

At that moment, you guys who downplayed Maidana will be thinking "This wasn't supposed to happen."

            Let's see, fellas, let's see.

Some people here getting hyped thinking there's a chance, fact is Guerrero and Canelo stood a much better chance at beating Floyd. Maidana is an exciting power guy but sadly against floyd, it will look like his feet are stuck in cement. Hoping for a one punch KO is teh only chance, even thats unlikely. to even have a chance at floyd u need to be real quick on the feet, have great handspeed and can throw a lot of punches/great stamina. maidana has none of that.

              Floyd UD

SOOOO... with that said, I believe Maidana could win by early TKO. Who knows, he might even find a way to win by outworking Floyd with activity like he did to Broner. Maidana surprised the hell out of me in that fight. Tough mofo.
That's not ridiculous at all, really.

                Let's use logic and probability.

Marcos Maidana is a knockout puncher.

He knocks out most of his opponents.

If he knocks out Floyd Mayweather that is a logical and probable outcome, because Maidana is a knockout puncher.

It may not be as likely as Mayweather winning on points, but it's the second most likely outcome should Mayweather fight the Argentine bull.

So you don't believe Maidana has the tools to hurt and possibly KO Mayweather?

Why did Mayweather fight Maidana's leftovers in 2011, i.e. Victor Ortiz?

Did you know Shane Mosley said Marcos Maidana has a puncher's chance against Mayweather?

I think Mosley's opinion has more weight to it than any poster on this board, really.

Even James Toney said that Maidana would be a tough fight for Mayweather.

                  "Pressure busts pipes." said Toney.

There are ingredients in this matchup to cause Mayweather to lose: the combination of Mayweather's vulnerable chin and Maidana's concussive fight-ending power in both hands. You cannot deny this.

Please stop disrespectfully downplaying Maidana. He is the champion who got to where he is the hard way. His career was not contrived. The man is doing something right.

I hope Madiana does get the fight and we see him lose a 12 UD or possibly get TKO'd and we'll see what excuses u make for what is inevitable
