    These don't help either:
    1) he doesn't speak English fluently, so he's not a sought-after interview (I train hard for the fight and I always praying).
    2) he doesn't use social media. I'll never understand why his management team never encouraged him to do this (or get a ghost writer to post regularly)
    3) he doesn't live in the U.S.
    4) PAC is very humble. Humility doesn't sell as well as bravado.

Every time you tun around, Floyd is making news (albeit ****** news, but he stays relevant).

So explain why he was able to sell in the past.

Playing down Canelo after Floyd made him look like a average boxer is easy to do

Canelo is more live than anyone Pac has fought in a long long long time.
That is the problem then. You thought it was 50/50 when it clearly was not. The only people who thought Canelo would win were his fans and a few haters of Floyd who will always pick against Floyd.

If you are objective, just go back and check the polls here (MADE BEFORE THE FIGHT!!!) and you will see that Floyd was the clear favorite even though you would think that the popular Canelo (his fans) would have given him a better chance.

His stock rose organically with his fighting style (i became a fan when i first saw him fight 10 years ago). This piqued the curiosity of fight fans. Then the HBO 24/7 hype machine propelled him into megastardom. His stock never rose bc of anything he did outside of the ring.
Once he got planked by Marquez, he didn't really have anything else to keep him relevant to the average boxing fan. I watched him fight Rios to see if he could still take a punch, not bc I was planning to see him destroy an opponent. Outside of this board, there are very few people who talk about PAC except for twice a year when he fights. Floyd spent a lot of time marketing his brand, so despite the fact that his matches are sparring sessions & typically snooze fests, people still talk about him and his stock remains high.
Put simply, if PAC had a Floyd strategy, his stock would not have declined much at all.

Floyd is having a field day
Who,s a live contender? Clottey was top 5 and much better than the likes of Guerrero. Bradley and JMM are rated 2 and 3 at welter

Clottey had already been beaten 3 times, he never came to fight, it was a disgraceful performance by him, heartless

The Ghost had only lost once and that was 7 years ago, he put up the best fight he could unlike Clottey who was scared to engage.

                The Ghost>Clottey

I dont care about ratings, JMM is washed up, and Bradely hadnt done nought at WW and ducked the best boxers at 140 and went on to fight Pacman for a payday.

Rene Cuenca never lost. Cuenca > Duran

There was a poll here, 9 out of 10 posters believe Clottey beats Guerrero.

So if Bradley has done nothing at 147, who has? Guerrero fought 2 non top tenners and got beat up by the smaller one. Ortiz had a single "welter" catchweight fight, etc. You sound clueless

                    This thread is ridiculous.

Pac's been fighting "the same guys?" The only dude he has rematched in the last 7 years has been Marquez, and for good reason.

Pac hasn't fought any competitors? Yeah okay Tim Bradley wasn't the best fighter at 140 or anything ...

Manny's stock fell after Marquez knocked him out and we all know he is aging but he's still an ATG and his career isn't over.

At 140 Bradley fought Whitter, Holt, Campbell, Peterson and Alexander who were all great fighters in the division. The only fighter he "ducked" was Amir Khan due to promotional issues; he was trying to break free from Gary Shaw at the time who had promoted him like dirt. Khan smartly promoted himself at Bradley's expense.

The idea that Bradley "ducked" Khan to instead fight Pacquiao doesn't make a lick of sense because Pacquiao was the tougher, more dangerous fighter at the time.

Marquez wasn't washed up either, the third and fourth fights with Pacquiao proved it even if you think Marquez' wins over Diaz and Katsidis didn't.
