30 days before Mayweather Maidana 2, Floyd is at 150 and Marcos is at 158.

So going by that, you already know the fight night weights will end up being about the same from fight 1 to fight 2. Floyd doesnt have alot of water weight to cut. Judging by the weights at 30 days you see his camp isnt about cutting weight. So he cant rehydrate that much after the weigh in. This isnt rocket science.
do you think maidana was draining himself already 30 days before the fight so as to come in at 165?

No not at 30 days. Doesnt take that long usually. Maidana put back on almost 20 lbs in one day, thats alot for anybody. He must have come in heavy on purpose.

so either 9lbs was lard, or he put on atleast 7lb's of muscle within 30 days?

Not saying that its not possible but you also need to take into consideration that Floyd or anyone for that matter could have just had a hard workout just before the 30 day weight was taken. I do remember a few times where Floyd did that. So that could be the case here too.

That said, Floyd is a gym rat and he is usually in great shape. So there is no need for him to worry about weight issues. Just like when Hopkins used to be fighting at middleweight for all those years. Reason is that Hopkins always took care of his body and could easily have come in higher than 160 and it has been proven now that he could.

Sometimes there is an advantage when coming in heavier but there is also an advantage when you don't have to drain yourself down and back up. Maidana for example had stamina issues, as was stated by his team after the first fight. They mentioned that Ariza making him come in heavier was partially to blame for that.

Who ever replies to this about the video and comment... let it be about the video, the topic about shoulder roll vs southpaw please.

I've seen the video already, he didn't use the shoulder roll the whole time vs Guerrero and Ortiz. it's a 14 minute video lol... he used touch jabs and a high guard most of the time.

All that video showed was Mayweather briefly being in trouble... all those fights he won very comfortably.

My question to you: what 3 fights would you say were the closest in Mayweather's career?

I also think that coming in heavy was the plan. If Maidana had better stamina in that fight he might have pulled it off.

Yes that is what they said. He intentionally came heavier. Maidana tends to have stamina issues anyways but that contributed.

The problem I had is that the judges didn't score the fight right. Two of the judges had Floyd winning in the first half of the fight. So from their (judges) standpoint, Maidana had no chance. Even if he continued to do that, judges were not giving him the rounds.

With that said, I don't think that Floyd could have taken that beating for 12 rounds and the fight could have gone real bad for Floyd. Possible stoppage or a few knock downs. So the judges would have to be swayed then.

That's actually a really good question. Ummm Of course Castillo-Mayweather, Floyd-Maidana 1 and maybe Judah-Mayweather before Floyd pulled away.

Random thought of the day: This picture pops into my head whenever i see Floyd and his skysc****r bodyguards.
