The angle made no difference to me.

Groves gloves were up, he took a few big shots but wasnt finished at all. A couple more big punches from Froch and it would be a fair stoppage just about. But he was up, moving, defending himself. He still could of clinched or fought back.
A finished fighter that needs to be saved are the ones who go limp, and their gloves drop, they becoming sitting targets. Or those who have taken a real beating.
That was the first time in the fight Groves was hurt.

      His gloves wasn't up!

And that is exactly how he was. Limp, his gloves was not up and he was a sitting target!

The last right hand that froch hits him with, Groves then puts his gloves up, stumbles, Froch pushes him bit with his right hand towards the ref, and at the same time the ref is jumping in to stop it.

Only when the ref holds Groves are his arms down because the ref has him in a headlock.

No was still a bad stoppage...

and the angle of the camera isn't the angle that Howard Foster had.

Still early but not as bad as people make out.

He was getting stopped though pretty soon after IMO.

If not that round, definitely one of the next 3.

He is lucky the referee did stop it because he was not under any circumstances defending himself.

He was done and out for a few seconds.

Can say headlock all you like, look at his body language prior, during and after that. Look at his posture, his arms.
No (he was walking).....no (bent over)....and no (the ref woulda choked him if that happened)

Damn you're a bigger Froch fan than I am.

Winner was decided before the fight.

                Scorecards prove it.

I've watched the fight a stack of times now and have come to the conclusion that Groves was essentially on his way out. It ain't immediately obvious on first viewing cos Groves actually manages to keep getting his feet back under him, but Froch actually lands a big Right almost exactly 30 seconds before the stoppage which Groves never really recovers from. The new angle makes it even more obvious how messed up GG was and how the last Froch barage as good as finished him.

If you watch the ref tho he knows Groves is badly hurt, and is kinda flapping around looking pretty closely for at least 20 secs before he finally jumps in when Groves takes the hit shown in this clip.

Groves had next to zero chance of getting through the round, but I still sorta call the stoppage early - that said this was only a few weeks after the Mago tragedy, if the ref could see how badly Groves was gone, I can understand him erring on the side of caution.

Groves was absolutely on his way out but it was still an early stoppage. The ref should of let him get the knockdown and assess from there. It wasnt like he was trapped in a corner.
