Comments Thread For: Maidana: I Won't Allow Adrien Broner To Disrespect Me!

The Adrien Broner-Marcos Maidana fight may have been moved to San Antonio but the matchup still remains one of the more intriguing bouts this year. This will definitely be one of Broner’s biggest tests and this will be Maidana’s opportunity to fight for a world title in the Welterweight division.

Before the fight was even officially announced, Broner and Maidana ran into each other in Las Vegas during the Floyd Mayweather-Saul Alvarez fight week. There was a confrontation where things got a little physical and there was reported pushing and shoving .

When BoxingScene spoke to Maidana after a hard workout in Oxnard, he was asked if he felt what happened in Las Vegas was an indication of what we would see in the days leading up to this fight or if he’d simply ignore Broner from here on in. [Click Here To Read More]

Yes Mayweather and Vasquez are great boxers but this guy is entertaining.

I still believe Broner is a favorite. One way or another the guy has a talent in boxing

I think Broner will win this.

He's better than a lot of people get him credit for, and barring a few moments of wary, he'll get past Maidana via UD.

The funny thing is broker has been very quiet so far leading up to the fight.

In theory Broner should beat Maidana because of styles.

But the thing about Maidana is that, no matter have bad you beat on him, it never seems to make him less dangerous, both in the Lopez and Karass fight there there were times were it looked like his apponents were beating him, but then he explodes out of no were and beats them up and stop them.

Broner`s footwork also suck so he cant use his feet to set up angels and disrupt maidanas rythmen like Alexander did.

This is the fight were Broner is going to show grit or else he will go down

The promotional side of things hasn't started yet but i hope he stays classy, Maidaan isn't one to piss off IMO, for one he doesn't deserve disrespect and making him angry and motivated would be a wring decision to make.

Broner seems to be more focused on being a rapper, hanging out at strip clubs, and ****ing nasty strippers as of lately. At this point one has to question his dedication to the sport. Maidana is not someone that u want to come in to the ring underprepared against.

Broner has to drain from the midget heavyweight division down. Thus the silence.

You hope Boner 'stays classy' - that has to be humour, surely?

Still, Broner is a decent fighter, and I can see him winning this, though it's far from a certainty. Paulie M was outworking AB through large parts of the fight, and Maidana is far more dangerous IMO.
