Posters on here defy logic. I will use Marquez and Mosley as an example.
When Mayweather fought Mosley, Mosley was coming off of an impressive victory over Margarito. But people slate the victory saying that he's an old man and that his performance in later fights is proof of that.
The response to Mayweather's victory over Mosley would lead you to believe that it is important for Mayweather's opponents to have an impressive career after he schools them. However individuals' responses to Mayweather's victory over Marquez indicates that that isn't the case. It's easier for people to believe that Marquez significantly improved as a fighter at the age of 40, than it is for them to believe he was good when he stepped in the ring with Mayweather.

floyd is not going to lose to an older, slower, smaller, less powerful, flat-footed, counterpuncher,,, JMM had ZERO chance of winning,, did anyone really think that floyd would be beaten by jmm,,,, jmm had zero chance,, he needs aggressive guys like manny, diaz, etc to look great,,,
manny and jmm are about the same size and the styles clash to give us great fights,,, bradley has a similar come forward style and is nowhere near as gifted as floyd
jmm vs floyd 100% sure of a floyd victory
jmm vs manny 55/45 in favor of manny
jmm vs bradley 50/50 fight....
styles make matchups and bradley and manny's style bring the best out of jmm,,, floyd's style was an absolute nightmare for jmm,,,
jmm beats guys that are aggressive, he literally has no chance ever of beating floyd,,,, floyd is better in every department, there is not one category that jmm had the advantage, not reach, not size, not skill, not power, not speed, not IQ, not experience, not offensively, not defensively, not anything,,,,,
Floyd is held to a higher standard because he is leaps and bounds better than any fighter today

Pacquiao gets criticised for not KO'ing Mosely despite putting him on his ass. Mosley made Mayweather do the Booty Dew yet he gets worshipped for the fight.
Marquez was a bad styles fight for Pacquiao, he had been in the ring 3 fights prior with him, he knew him like the back of his hand. But of course that's no advantage
Pacquiao decimated Hatton at his preferred weight who was coming off a Paulie win, no credit, Oscar domination, despite Oscar picking on Pacquiao = No credit.
