Posters on here defy logic. I will use Marquez and Mosley as an example.
When Mayweather fought Mosley, Mosley was coming off of an impressive victory over Margarito. But people slate the victory saying that he's an old man and that his performance in later fights is proof of that.
The response to Mayweather's victory over Mosley would lead you to believe that it is important for Mayweather's opponents to have an impressive career after he schools them. However individuals' responses to Mayweather's victory over Marquez indicates that that isn't the case. It's easier for people to believe that Marquez significantly improved as a fighter at the age of 40, than it is for them to believe he was good when he stepped in the ring with Mayweather.Comment

Marquez was a bad styles fight for Pacquiao, he had been in the ring 3 fights prior with him, he knew him like the back of his hand. But of course that's no advantage
Pacquiao decimated Hatton at his preferred weight who was coming off a Paulie win, no credit, Oscar domination, despite Oscar picking on Pacquiao = No credit.
