War Maidana!

Looking forward to this fight. I feel like it will be very competitive, with Broner having an edge in speed, while Chino has an advantage in size and power.

This will be a good competitive fight. Alexander and Broner are 2 different type of slick boxers. Alexander boxes from the outside but the second Maidana got close, he hugged and held on like a bitch while Broner can actually fight on the inside.

On the other hand Adrien didnt look that great with a feather fisted Paulie. Then again styles make fights, Paulie can box and Maidana not so much. Should be entertaining though. My heart is with Maidana but brain says Broner by decision.

broner is not a "slick fighter"

he NEEDS fighters to come to him & make it a tear up. when you run from him is when he's thrown off............anyone that comes to broner will get mashed up.

I don't like maidanas or anyone else's chances who will come straight to him.

Why wouldnt Adrien be considered a slick fighter? He moves his head and rolls his shoulder well. He is a watered down version of James Toney and JT is one of the slickest boxers ever.

Atharee, like you said, styles make fights. Maidana hits harder than Pauli, but he is also easier to hit that Pauli so it creates a different dynamic. Maidana has to land hard and often, Broner has to counter with hooks and uppercuts. I think the style of the fight favors Broner if he has a solid chin and uses defense.

He is more of an Andre Berto than a James Toney by a good stretch. To be considered closer to a Toney, he will need a lot of top comp ahead in his career and rise to the occasion. Till then, the similarities are Berto.

Me and my Mexican posse will be rooting for Maidana . He has full support of Mexicans living in Mexico and in the US.Latin America is proud of Maidana because win or lose, he fights like a true latino, none of that Mayweather chicken shiet.

Im not even sure if I would compare him to Berto. Berto has terrible defense. Broner has really good defense just not on the level of a Floyd but still better then 90% of the fighters out there thats why I compared him to a watered down version of James. I dont think Broner will ever be on the level of JT but stylistically he looks like James in the way he fights, just not on his level I believe.

He got hit more by Gavin Reese but unlike Reese, Berto has fought far bigger punchers and paid. Broner's defense is nothing special. If Broner gets hit by Maidana like he did against Reese and Pauli, he could be in serious trouble. Broner is far more like Berto in his style than Toney.
