Bell Centre, Montreal, Canada - Light heavyweight contender Artur Beterbiev (2-0, 2KOs) is being fast tracked by GYM, and you can see why, as he stopped Rayco Saunders (23-23, 10KOs) in three rounds. Beterbiev was handing out punishment early and scored a questionable knockdown in the second, but then dropped Saunders down for good measure two more times in the third. Saunders was unable to come out for the fourth round. Beterbiev becomes only the second boxer ever to stops Saunders.

Looking forward to Pascal/Bute

Just watched Beterbiev destroy Saunders on 'tube.



He always looked like he could make it as a pro, and GYM looks to have another quality LHW on his hands. Course it's early days yet, but Beterbiev is definitely one to watch. Very good power and handspeed along with the skills of a top amateur. Saunders ain't been stopped in 10 years and 35 fights.

Artur seems to have naturally heavy hands but throws fast and in volume, also going up and down well. Very much a pressure fighter. Reminds me a little of Kovalev but not as fluid.

I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Didn't understand why Pascal took this fight. Blades never landed one punch, and never intended to land...
Was this fight meant to impress Bute? A sparring in public?
I hope that Pascal doesn't come next with no jab and with his left hand down...

Pascal put on his best Roy Jones impression and completely thrashed Blades. The only reason this lasted 5 is because Blades is one tough son of a b*tch. The explosive speed and power was there for Pascal all night. Bute had an awkward smile when they showed him after the destruction.
