StubHub Center, Carson, California - Leo Santa Cruz (25-0-1, 15KOs) beat down Victor Terrazas (37-3-1, 21KOs) in three rounds to capture the WBC super bantamweight championship. Santa Cruz becomes a two-division beltholder.

Santa Cruz had Terrazas on the backfoot in the very first round. Terrazas was fighting back hard, but getting hit often in the process. In the second, the right eye of Terrazas was swelling shut from the incoming punches and there plenty of them landing.

Can't see how anyone thought this would be a great matchup. Terrazas does nothing special and people were talking about this being Santa Cruz's biggest threat to date. Huh? The guy he won his first best from was a much better fighter.
