It will be very tough for mares to surpass floyd, ward, and rigo,,,

he would have to probably beat rigo and donaire,,, then he would have a shot... but too bad he will probably never get those fights,,,

mares is most def a top 10 p4p guy,,

Mares is the next Manny Pacquiao. Good punching power, ability to move up in weight, heart, and just plain sloppy. Sloppy but effective.

If mares continues to rise up the scales he can definitely have a run at being P4P. Rigo won't ever have the chance fighting exclusively at 122 & Floyd could retire before Mares finishes his run. Ward has the key to the top spot after Floyd's gone though especially if he were somehow able to beat GGG down the line.

to me froch has a better resume then mares..............plus i thought mares lost the 1st agbeko fight. i thought darchinyan beat him...........i thought Yonnhy Perez outworked him (which resulted in a draw)

good little fighter but pfp the best? please, rigo sodomizes him & sends him to the hospital.............:

The guy hasn't lost a fight since he was like 10. He's doing something right.

I think Froch lost to Dirrell's b1tch ass, he lost to Kessler the first time and got his ass whooped by Ward.

Yeah but that doesn't matter. Only what he's done on the pros counts. And IMO he's not as good as ppl say. He's not the second best fighter in the world.

                  You make some good points,,,

Honestly i think terrance crawford could be the sleeper in taking over the p4p list in a few years,,,

I think the kid is that good,,,,

I'd love to see him fight a REAL P4P champ like Rigondeaux at a catchweight of 124 pounds who I think would ice him within 8 rounds.
Mares has the style to beat Rigo. Donaire was looking for the big shot all night and didnt find it but Mares will overwhelm him with pressure and his physicality being the stronger and bigger fighter of the two.

Great F'n point. Crawford is the real deal certainly more skilled then Broner.
