Comments Thread For: Theophane: Cano Loses When He Steps Up, Will Lose Again

There are three losses on Pablo Cesar Cano’s record — a stoppage loss to Erik Morales in 2011, a debatable split decision defeat to Paulie Malignaggi last year, and a decision loss to Shane Mosley this past May.

Ashley Theophane sees a trend in those losses, a trend he feels will continue when he faces Cano on Sept. 14 on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather-Canelo Alvarez pay-per-view.

“Every time he steps up is where he’s lost,” Theophane said on an Aug. 14 media conference call. “To me this is another step up, and he’s going to lose again.”

Theophane is 32 years old and will turn 33 a couple weeks before the fight. He’s not concerned about being nine years older than Cano, though. [Click Here To Read More]

Cano should win this. Cano would have had a win over Mosley had he not started exchanging which was ******, that said the fight could have easily gone to him, but credit to Mosley he managed to turn the clock back at times.

cano needs to win by stoppage - he his getting no favours from the judges!!!!

my predict is theoplane is overrated and he really thinks he his something, i need to know what weight this fight is at (cano has fought at 147 the last twice) if its 147 cano wins if its lower then cano will be weight drained

Theophane just signed with TMT and Cano is seen as a "stepping stone" kind of fighter.
