Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Confident Mistakes Are Vanishing With Hunter

Amir Khan believes he is discovering a new maturity as a fighter after moving to a new trainer and taking on responsibility for brother Haroon's boxing career.

Khan won his first two fights under San Francisco-based Virgil Hunter after consecutive defeats against Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia saw him lose his light-welterweight world titles.

The 26-year-old's most recent fight, a points win over Julio Diaz in April, saw him down in the fourth round and Khan has been working on a more disciplined approach as he bids to set up a challenge to IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander, which is pencilled in for December 7 if a deal can be struck.

I hope so,I always thought Khan should have went with Shields..Hunter is a very good trainer tho,if anyone can plug up some holes in Khans D it's Hunter..Even tho he's said this before and in both the Molina and Diaz fights there were still some pretty gaping holes..

Khan looks worse than ever, but if these sentiments from Khan give him an ounce of confidence then so be it...

I think thought in his last fight he looked way more feather fisted than with roach, didn't like what I saw. I mean he went life and death with Julio Diaz.

Khan sure does like using the word "mistake", after every defeat and before every fight Ha.

"Made a Mistake", "won't make mistakes", "Won't make the same mistakes again" I wonder if he a Banner in his GYM saying "Mistakes, Don't make any"

I thought Khan looked like he should have gone back to Roach & Ariza and has looked like he's gone backwards since being with Hunter.

He might win a few more, but you know he will end up in a heap on the canvas sometime in the future unless he gets a style like Wladamir Klitschko and jabs and hugs, but he wants to fight all out like Gatti, but his chin won't let him

If there's 1 thing Khan has never lacked is confidence, lol. Dude's got a huge heart. But that's where his greatness ends. Too damn bad I guess.

Pretty sure he was staggering around the ring like a drunk, for 6 rounds straight in his last fight, against a washed up lightweight.
