Comments Thread For: Malignaggi vs. Broner: Charlo-Hopkins Bout in Play

The Showtime televised tripleheader is nearly complete for June 22 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

In the main event, Paulie Malignaggi will defend his WBA welterweight crown against WBC lightweight king Adrien Broner, who moves up in weight by two divisions. Heavyweight contender Seth Mitchell will aim to avenge last year's knockout loss by entering an immediate rematch with Johnathan Banks.

Good triple header. Hopefully broner goes to 140 after this fight. People didnt criticize robert gurrero for jumping two weight classes they shouldn't criticize broner. However if he stays at 147 and avoids the big names at 140 as a fan I'd be really disappointed.

Good card, I like the charlo bros both have a good style, and seeing the broner paulie fight gonna be intresting, can care less about seth and banks again but hey could be worse.

The 2 boxing powerhouses have been putting on real good fights as of lately it seems like, this alliance between the respected promotional companies and broadcasting companies means good competition for viewer ratings, which should mean good match ups for consumers....HBO/Top Rank just had 2 major fights so far in 2013

Showtime/Golden Boy have a pretty good stable right now and i can't wait for these match ups

I dunno what you guys are talking about. This isn't a good card. There's only 1 current "A level" fighter on the card. And if Malignaggi doesn't put up a good fight this could quickly become a terrible card

We already know how weak the HW division is, so no sense in even talkin about that fight.

Charlo gets a chance to show something, but a win over Hopkins would be far from impressive.
