Because it's ****** on Arum's part. Rios is the A-side fighter in that matchup. Why would he loan the A-side fighter to another promotional company?

With Rios/Alvarado, it's good business no matter who wins since both guys are Top Rank fighters.

Based on Arum's interview, he has the best interest of the boxing community, that's why.

GBP tried to put on a great show for the boxing fans by making Rios-Mathysse, which was a great fight at the time and still is.

And Rios wasn't even the A-side fighter then; Marquez and Pac were.

GBP has arum by the balls thats why he is venting like a school girl stood up by the football captain. How can you make competitive fights if you only make in house fights? And hbo made a ton of money off haymon and GBP. But hey if you like pac v jmm 5,6 and 7 or pac v mosley whom roach ducked and only fought shane after he was forced to sign with arum and throw that fight for 5 for 5 million. I can't stand either promoter, but I lean towards liking GBP more. They are actually trying to build the sport by getting involved with CBS. Arum is pure scum, a liar, and he could care less about the state of the sport after he dies.

Good point. TR could also have another FOTY candidate if Chavez is matched up with GGG. Hell, maybe even Chavez/Macklin could turn out to be something special. TR also has Magdaleno/Martinez coming up, which is definitely a sleeper.
