    Official Hopkins-Cloud, Zaveck-Thurman RbB & Discussion Thread

should have been posted by now but i couldnt find it. just in case it hasnt or if anyone didnt cath it here it is.

crazy staredown, hopkins tried to intimidate him as soon as he got off the scale. cloud looked cool for the most part, his body language didnt show much fear or hesitation. he did blink a lot in the staredown though.

look at the intensity of hopkins as he got off the scale and the way his eyes pierce into cloud in the staredown, dude is getting scarier with age lol. he had that crazy serial killer look going on, **** wouldve made duran proud.

also notice how cloud, a big 175lber came in quite light. good move on his part, hes gonna be the stronger man regardless against this 48 year old former MW. coming in light will allow him to be quicker on his feet so he can apply more pressure and throw more punches once he gets in position to throw.

This'll be a snoozefest, like EVERY B-Hop fight of recent times.

Hopefully Cloud brutally KOs him into retirement.

Cloud, like most top boxers are students of the game and I'm sure He has seen the dirty old man pulling a lot of his tricks inside and outside the ring.
I hope He knocks the old excon and we can allow boxing to continue as a cleaner more professional sport. Today, you can sell a fight with all the media coverage and boxers don't need to dress like clowns or act like wrestlers to sell a fight.
They can sell a fight with class and hard work coverage. I like the new approach of coming dress like professionals (nice suits) and acting like professionals.

Holy hell. No way I dream of a sport, where everyone acts the exact same. Talk about boring....

with all due respect, professionalism doesnt come down to wearing suits and showing fake humility in interviews. it comes down to being dedicated and hardworking in the gym and taking care of business in the ring when the lights are at their brightest.

hopkins does just that, infact he takes it a step fther than the vast majority of fighters today champions included. hes a model of professionalism.

and mind games are a part of boxing, always has and always will. nothing wrong with that. as for being dirty inside the ring it too comes with the territory, after all its a fight. hagler, duran, marciano, holyfield, lamotta, basilio etc were all dirty fighters just to name a few. it doesnt take a way from their greatness and the same thing applies to hopkins.

Cloud isn't looking as big this fight, but apparently he has put down the weights for this fight. And Hopkins can be frightening. If you're going to **** with him, you want the Queensbury rules!
