Comments Thread For: Klitschko's Trainer: Price, Pulev Are Threats - Not Fury!

Wladimir Klitschko's trainer, James Ali Bashir, believes there are only two fighters who can threaten his fighter - Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev and British champion David Price (15-0, 13KOs). While he respects the challenges of Kubrat and Pulev (17-0, 9KOs), he does not consider Tyson Fury (20-0, 14KOs) as a serious threat to Wladimir (59-3, 50KOs) or older brother Vitali Klitschko.

Yet Fury can still become a threat, maybe. He's young and still learning.

Pulev is very good. Hopefully Wlad fights him this year.

Klitschko's trainer is an idiot. Pulev isn't a threat, he doesn't have the power to knock Wlad out and he isn't going to outbox him. Dimitrenko was on his way to a win until he gassed.

Statements like this always make me wonder if they really mean the opposite.

They are basically saying they don't want to fight Fury, the fight would sell easily and be an event, just give fury the mic, and if he's easy money why not?

Plus he did better than Vitali against a common opponent, there are only two reasons they'd write him off like that, idiocy or they just rather not fight him

Are you trying to imply that Team Klitschko might be ducking Fury?

The big, stiff idiot is going to get mad that Team Klitschko is disrespecting him.

Fury is still young and will improve, but he'll never have the power that will make people fear him and hasn't got the great speed or ability that will allow him box from the outside, when a decent fighter who cracks hard fights Fury he's going to find it very hard to keep them away. Fighters like Arreola would stop him IMO.
