Juan Manuel Marquez has no argument with the popular opinion that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best pound for pound fighter in the sport, but he doesn't believe the talented fighter takes any risks. He points to his own fight with Mayweather in 2009. Marquez was moving up from 135-pounds to face Mayweather at catch-weight of 144. Instead, Mayweather weighed in at 146 and because of that he paid Marquez a fine of $600,000.
During a televised appearance in Mexico, Marquez discussed the situation with Mayweather being heavily rumored to defend his WBC welterweight crown against mandatory challenger Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
