Comments Thread For: Brian Magee Full of Confidence as Kessler Bout Nears

Brian Magee hopes to make the most of a 'golden era' for super-middleweights if he defends his world title against Mikkel Kessler on Saturday night.

Magee puts his WBA belt on the line against the Danish star in Herning and he knows that victory will land him another major fight in a division bursting with big names.

WBA 'super' champion Andre Ward, the top fighter at 168lbs, is being lined up to face this weekend's winner, while a clash with old foe Carl Froch could also be on the cards if Magee ruins his hopes of a rematch with Kessler.

It's almost time for Magee to catch this beating.

This and welterweight are the hottest weight classes in the game. Kessler got this and then go on to beat either Froch or Ward. WAR KESSLER!!

Another crap fight for Kessler. Who cares about this one outside of Denmark and the UK?

Magee always comes to fight. What a ride he has had. Unreal if he should win and get that shot at Ward in May.

Good words from Magee, but they won't keep him from getting the beatdown Kessler is about to put on him. 168 is great right now. The Super Six had a lot to do with that. Other weight classes should follow suit.

168 is great but this fight isn't.
