Floyd never had the physical advantage against the likes Castillo, Hatton & Baldomir. Even so in his other fights, he's never physically that much bigger. In your last paragraph, you make no sense.

So... essentially... that's a level playing field.
Castillo was lightweight, Baldomir was a welterweight, Floyd didn't have the advantages there. Castillo bullied Floyd and won the first fight in many peoples eyes and gave him a tough second fight.

Baldomir was not a great boxer and Floyd just pot shotted and ran all night.

Floyd was physically stronger than Hatton and it was shown in the clinches on the inside which Floyd won.

I mentioned Floyd's come up through the weights too, he seem very weary about given away physical advantages.

True greats like Armstrong, Greb and SRR gave them away on a regular basis.

        Where to start?

Okay Mosley was giant Lw the fact the he jumped to 147 passing 140 altogether shows he's no lil man even going up to 154 no doubt he's a natural welterweight. Also he had been in that division since 2000...

Cotto left 140 cause he couldn't make weight with ease anymore not to mention also a huge lww. Moved to 147 bigger fights another title etc then after a big loss did the same thing so Floyd just went up with. Funny part is that you make it seem as if Floyd fought at 154 forever it was his second fight there and like cottos 4. So he had the weight advantage.

Ortiz was a super huge lww hell he's a big ww. He out weighed Floyd by 16 pounds so that's all I'm gonna say on that.

Oscar was at 154 since like 05 or something even going up to 160 and winning a fight(controversial) but won we also can't say Floyd drained he went up to a weight class he never fought at before.

Judah was at 147 Plus it was a fight everyone wanted not to mention he started 10 pounds heavier then Floyd did.

Hatton had been at 147 for a few fights didn't belong there but hey I'll give you that. One

Marquez is the only one you get clean

So all and all he's fought people in his weight class or bigger who also started out heavier then he did with exception of Marquez

        Great thread👍

Nice review, but the point is Floyd is not fighting the naturally big guys that will physically over over power him in the ring.

Cotto pushed Floyd around the most I've seen since Castillo but he is not a natural light-middle.

It wasn't Castillo's size or strength that gave Floyd troubles though, it was his style.

Floyd's never used his size to win apart from the Marquez & Hatton fights. That's the only time he's been too big for an opponent and those wins are hardly rated well.

I could understand if Floyd was a 6ft2 Welterweight but he's the norm for a Welterweight.

So basically you are saying that no one that Mayweather fights has the right to ever move up in weight???

Did he intentionally take a fighter who was at a lower weight class and him up just for the fight?? Besides Ricky Hatton, who is possibly the only guy that you have a point on.

Great thread considering Floyd himself is a "blown up fighter".

                Unreal TS. Come on.

Cottos a very strong man you can tell that in any fight. The fact that he's not a natural lmw means nothing he chose to go there and had adjusted to the weight
                  By the time they fought.

But I have to disagree with you saying that's the most Floyd's been pushed around since JLC he was pushed around by Oscar and Hatton who are both much bigger people. Just cause hattons short and stalky doesn't mean he isn't bigger. Floyd was also pushed around by Ortiz when he could get to him he would keep him on the ropes when he got him there.

D4, you're starting to frustrate me.

If Cotto, who you don't think is naturally a 154lber pushed Floyd around, what does that say?!
