Mayweather fights a lot of blown up guys.

Floyd rarely fights boxers that are natural at the weight, they have normally moved a few weights by the time Floyd faces them.

The only fighter I can think of that Floyd has fought that was a natural at the weight was Carlos Baldomir, who is not a great level technically.

Miguel Cotto started his career at 140lbs fought Floyd at 154lbs

Victor Ortiz, another 140lbs guy, only had one previous fight at 147lbs then fought Floyd at that weight.

Shane Mosley, a former lightweight fought Floyd at 147lbs at the tender age of 38

Juan Manual Marquez, started of at featherweight 126lbs, moved up 3 weights in a year to take on Floyd at welterweight, was meant to be catch weight of 144lbs but Floyd went back on his word.

Ricky Hatton, a natural 140lbs man, struggled with his previous fight at 147lbs once again Floyd fought him at 147lbs

Oscar De La Hoya, started his career at lightweight, went down to win a title at superfeather, Floyd fought at 154lb

Judah 140lbs guy, fought at 147lbs

    Gatti a 130lbs guy fought at 140lbs

Floyd has moved up the weights himself but tends to avoid the big men of the division he is in.

Never fought a Williams, Margarito, Martinez.

It seems that for Floyd size does matter.

I so sure of this I expect Floyd to fight another blown up fighter, maybe Alexander or Guerrero but will not fight a natural big guy in his next fight, or in any of his remaining fights.

Before I opened this thread I thought to myself ' Don't mention Cotto '.

      ...

Cotto was the one who moved from 140 to 147 'cause he was struggling to make weight. After getting pummelled by Pac he made the decision to move up to 154, Floyd simply followed him up.

The only people Floyd pulled out of their natural weight categories was Hatton & Marquez. Everyone else had some reasonable success at their ' blown-up ' weight.

Not to mention the fact that most boxers do not remain at the weight-class they turned pro in.

I think the most ironic part of this thread is the fact Floyd himself started off at Super-featherweight. Which is lower than the majority of the guys you posted, only JMM fought at a lower weight.

I'm not accusing Floyd of pulling up all these fighters, but these fighters have piled on the pounds, maybe due to lifestyle choices and carrying that extra weight made them less powerful pound for pound.

You could make a case for Ortiz being too big for 140lbs but Cotto is never a real light-middle.

There is a noticeable size difference between guys that have moved up and that have been a natural at that weight.

Why are you ignoring the fact that Floyd started at 130 as a pro? He's moved up in weight just like his opponents. Most fighters in the lower weight classes move up as their careers progress.

I stated that Floyd has come up through the weights himself.

But he rarely up against a guy who he giving away natural weight.

People like to think Floyd technical advantages wins him fight, but Floyd normally has the physical advantages and can push around his opponents because like him they are from the smaller weight classes.

I stated that in the first post, It would be good to see Floyd go up against a guy who will physically dominate him, and see how his techniques hold up.
