I would think it's because people hate to see how successful he really is. The hate motivates people to buy his fights in hopes of him losing. In essence, the people that hate him the most can only blame themselves.

This is why Floyd is so successful and I for one wouldn't hate on him for being successful. If anything you learn from them.
