So Martirosyan's first challenge/top fight comes 7 years after turning pro. It took him 32 fights.

Better late than never. Maybe this is an actual start of Top Rank fighters taking on challenges. Pacquiao-Bradley, Chavez Jr-Martinez, now this.

Guys do not sleep on Vanes - I am not one of his biggest fans, but dude can crack, and he can box - Lara is good, but not as goos as you guys make him out to be - His fight against P-will should not be put on a high pedestil - Pwill just came back from a career changing 1 punch knock out ! how good are you going to look in your next fight coming off that? Vanes said some key stuff a couple weeks ago, that I also pointed out about Lara - Lara hates pressure, he gets away with alot because he is a good lefty, but vanes has good amateur pedigree also - this will be interesting, not the blow out many think it will be - I think Lara can win, but don't count vanes out - he can box / brawl / slug - not too many can do that and he can apply pressure -

I agree Vanes basically pointed out all the flaws I see in Lara. Lara's lack of pop & the trouble Hernandez gave Lara when Hernandez came forward aggressively. Vanes can be dropped but I have the feeling if anyone scores the KO its gonna be Vanes. Lara has fought guys like Molina & Williams so he has fought the better opposition but I just think Vanes presents a real challenge to him. Vanes is a hungry undefeated fighter. I can't quite pick this one I have it at a push. Could go either way.
