nah I think that would be great but I'm just saying that you never say this fight will do 700K and it ends up doing 400k.

That doesn't prove anything. Did you read what I said? What I said is that ticket brokers often buy up these tickets to resale them on the secondary market.
(ie, Stubhubs).

This is nothing but press release puff. 13K tickets may have been purchased by ticket brokers and they can "say" that. But it's not like there was a mad rush of 13K people clamoring TicketMaster or whatever outlets that pruchased tickets for this.

Chavez Jr has already gotten 15k people to his fights. Don't see why it's such a surprise. And Bob Arum also made a big deal about casinos buying tickets up before they even went on sale. A sale is a sale.

Also, 10,000 of the tickets are only $100 and under. They're cheap.

I dont know about more of a rising star but my father was a huge Chavez Sr fan to where he would put on his red badana before fights and ge thinks that Jr is garbage and a cheat. Im sure others feel the same way. Hes watching Canelo

First of all you know nothing about me. Yes I'm citing STATESIDE figures because that's what's being used to assess the potential of this here. As far as how I see boxing globally. You have no idea where I've seen boxing around the world. for the record I've seen plenty of fights outside of North America so lets end that there.

Your source is puff piece press release that I pretty much dissected. So stop using that as your supporting piece.

That said, you're basing the rousing support of what you hear in Mexico City and Latinos in the states to push the numbers of this fight high??

Like I said, 400K tops and if I'm wrong, hey, it won't be the first time but there's nothing historical we can gauge to say that the fight will do 400-500K for two PPV first timers.

why did you ASK for a link if you didn't want it. any source short of the adresses of the individual buyers won't satisfy you and since such a source doesn't exist your "dissection" of the link is pretty weak.

Sure you're right. I actually like both guys, but will buy the PPV regardless of whether or not I think JCC Jr. is some kind of PED cheat because he's taking a fight (his first, imo) in which he is the legit underdog. He's moving in the right direction.

I want to support Canelo as well (and have in the past), but I'm pretty disappointed in this latest choice of opponents.

It also doesn't help that in a recent phone interview, when asked about his responsibility to defend his belt against opponents that have built a record within that class, Alvarez hung up on the interviewer.

As to the question I asked the other guy, I just did it to see if I could get him to be forthright about where his bias (if any) lay.

you must not watch a lot of spanish TV or only Televisa. ESPN Deportes blasts them other on a regular basis but Chavez is gaining respect for Martinez where as people are starting to question Canelo calling him a de la Hoya's money machine "maquina de dinero".

i watch spanish tv on a daily basis and the guys on espn deportes knows as much about boxing as skip bayless... lol at you if you take them serious.... and "golge a golpe" is hardly, ... hardly watch by casual fans..... like i said, you're stuck thinking a casual fan follows boxing to the teeth....
