to me, Paul Williams is a Blaxican. He fought like a Mexican fighter typically fights, come forward, nonstop relentless aggression, and had PURE HEART! He was a beast, and was damn good at overwhelming his opponents, with his sheer size, lengthy arms and legs, his fights were always entertaining, never a dull moment when the Punisher was in the ring. And on top of all that, he was down to earth and humble.

My condolences go out to his friends and family, I hope he is able to walk again, he's a warrior who never gives up.

his conditioning, punch volume, chin, & willingness to trade made his fights a joy to watch....

      hoping for a miracle.
I think the same thing and I'll always feel that he would've at least given Mayweather and Pacquiao all they could handle. At his best I think he would've won.
Paul was also one of the nicest and most approachable people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. It was an honor to meet him and he was great to talk to. He is a great guy and I hope he can pull through all of this.

Even though the fight didn't go as well as I would have liked I will always be happy I went to AC to see him live against Lara. Always gave you everything he had win or lose and I have no doubt he'll fight this every bit as hard as every other opponent he's faced in life.

Great guy with TONS of heart. He came to fight that's for sure. I pray that he gains the ability to walk and live life normally. His loved ones must be going through a very difficult time also and I hope God guides them through this.

              Big Pwill fan

He was very entertaining, lost to Quintana, then went on a tear KO;ing Quintana in the rematch at WW, moving up to MW and scoring a knockout, back down to SMW to beat Winky, then a thrilling fight with Martinez. Looked to be on his way to a top five P4P ranking before getting stopped by Martinez. I think that fight took something away from him mentally. He would fight anyone from 147 to 160 and do it with a smile on his face. He will be missed in the ring, wish him a good recovery and a good life.

I wasn't a fan of his but his style combined with his physical attributes made him a very difficult opponent for anybody. His first fight with Martinez was my 2009 FOTY.
