Ray leonard says in an interview he and thomas hearns would have knocked out floyd &

I don't know if Sugar Ray was having day thoughts in his retirement or if he was still thinking about his fight with Floyd Mayweather Sr. back in the day! Whatever the case I'm trying to figure out how Sugar Ray Leonard would have effectively landed the punches on the Champ = Floyd Mayweather Jr. to be able to knock out Floyd Jr. Please tell us how you would have knocked him out as strong as Floyd is on defense alone. When it come to speed and slipping shots I just don't see it. READ MORE HERE

sugar ray would most definatly knock out mayfeather jr just like he knocked out his big mouth father but there is no way in hell hes knocking manny out !!!!!!!!!!!! btw who ever rote that article is a dummy !!!! they are saying mayfeather would win because he has great defense and sugar wouldnt be able to hit him ~!!!!!! but the last time i checked floyd sr teached floyd jr how to have defense !!!! and we all know what happened when sugar faced his father

that's like saying the sky is blue. those guys were way too big and talented for floytand pac.

if they fought in the same era floyd and pac would be fighting at 140.

Leonard seems too diplomatic these days to say something like that, any audio?

I don't see SRL knocking out either one. Maybe Pacquiao, but don't see it with Floyd.

Thomas Hearns stops Floyd late and Manny within the first round. Can't see anyone arguing with that...

he's always said the welterweights today are just too small for he and hearns, which is true.

The Welters today are very small in stature and bone and have no angles to their frames either. Leonard is a legit 5'10" and after he matured he was a legit 147lb, Tommy as everyone knows was huge in height and although it took him awhile to mature he to was ok at 147 but he did go right by that weight fairly quickly. If you look at Floyd and Shane they look like lightweights next to Tommy & Ray. The older guys hit much harder than Floyd does also.
I find it hard to tell just how well Floyd would do if he came off the ropes and just boxed but on the ropes he'd get HURT with those two. He'd give away so much size and he has no skills inside them.
Pacman would be a serious pest but he couldn't hurt Ray and Tommy would stand off and be dropping bombs as he tried to get in. Being a southpaw he'd be a pest but he has NO power against such bigger men.
I agree that both would be at 140 and if Prior was around they'd be at 135lbs. hahaha!!! Atleast they're talented fighters who most folks enjoy watching.
                Ray.

Leonard was better when he MOVED UP from 147, he was physically somewhat weak at 47 and I don't see him knocking Mayweather out....maybe winning a UD.

I think Hearns would knock Floyd out, he is just all kinds of ugly for him. Whilst I think Leonard would beat Floyd convincingly I don't think he would do it by Knockout, not unless Floyd opens up when he realises he has to chase the fight.
