Floyd does.

You need 20 of margarito's sloppy ass slow ass punches to equal 5 of Floyd's perfectly placed perfectly timed power shots.

thats why he needs to throw 1000 punches per fight and floyd only throws a couple hundred, yet floyd has the higher KO Percentage.

Margarito has a 57% ko Percentage

and Floyd has a 61% Ko percentage with 1/5 of the punches thrown.

Who has more power?

Just from curiosity, why do you say 20 to equal 5 why not say 100 to equal 25...or better still, 4 to equal 1......

a KO comes from a fighters brain scrambling inside his skull, getting knocked into the cranium. you achieve this from creating a whiplash effect when you strike someone.

it applies to any blow tbh. if you heard about a bad car accident the first thing you wonder is how fast the cars were going, not how big they were.

power is mass x speed, the vast majority of big punchers in boxing history had fast hands. the ones who didnt were more heavyhanded 'wear you down' kind of guys, like margarito. fighters whose punches have a pushing impact rather than rattle their oponents brain and turn their lights out.

Well you also need to look at how the crash is.

Normal people look at the speed, where as I always look at the impact.

How did they collide, what direction and most importantly, was it fast and then to a stand still instantly, which is the most damaging.

A car spinning very fast can be a lot safer than a fast car hitting a wall to a stand still.

Now, Floyd could probably stand there and hit you 5 times in your head, and then Marg. I would still say Marg has the more power.

The KO happens with fast fighters when you don't see the shot, but when you stand and expect it, then who hits harder?

Remember profesional boxers are trying to hit Floyd or are tired and thus can't see. He hit Gatti with how many shots until a stoppage? He hit Corraless with how many shots? He is fast that can get a KD, but not really a pure puncher is he.

Yes but when we talk about power, then size and speed are accoutnable at any division. He was fast for a HW, but his speed was no where near Floyd is my point.

Give a big man like Tua the speed of Floyd and ouch huh.

Speed is not power alone. If you got Gatti to stand in front of Floyd and then in front of Marg, I will pretty much say Marg would KO him faster.

Pac was moving margarito but got caught on the ropes unexpectedly, lost balance and couldnt protect himself from the body shot

Plus Margarito outweighed pac by 20 pounds and had 6 inches on him
