Comments Thread For: CompuBox Comparison: James Kirkland-Carlos Molina

CompuBox takes a detailed look at the last five fights for junior middleweights James Kirkland and Carlos Molina. Kirkland averaged 30 more punches thrown per round than Molina and landed eight more per round. Kirkland is alos the heavier the hitter by far. Molina landed 40% of his power shots, but with only 6 KO's in 25 fights, does he have enough to hold off Kirkland?

Too much hugging by Molina. Hugging has nothing to do with fighting. It's wrong.

When you punch your opponent and then you hold him to prevent him from hitting you back it weakens the one being held while the holder stays fresh and strong. I love defense but only when it's effective with speed of hand and foot. Hugging has traditionally been allowed but it don't mean it's right.

How you can stand there and defend Molina is a joke the bigger story is why was he constantly holding and pushing just in general spoiling?
Do you actually pay to see that?
Molina has no heart no desire to actually box he wanted to wrestle this guy I'm not a Mexiphobe but god damn you can't defend someone who showed he is capable of winning but was so damn scared of taking a punch that he had to hold every time!
Mark my words Molina will amount to nothing fighting like that he is hands down the most boring Mexican... fighter/boxer if you can ever call him that!
I'd of thought the Mexican people would of been outraged at him trying to mimic a Wladimir Klitschko fight god damn!

Then why are you so mad about Kellerman...
It's clear this fight was terrible Molina DIDN'T want to fight!
That's the only reason the fight was bad, hugging to an extent is absolutely fine in boxing I don't expect every fight to be like Morales VS Barrera but you can't and should never be allowed to hold every time after throwing a punch its cheating in my eyes and you're also scamming the people who came to watch boxing
