Comments Thread For: Canelo's Manager Eyes September Return After Mosley

Edison Reynoso, the manager of WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs), wants his boxer to stay busy. Canelo defends his title against former champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Floyd Mayweather Jr. faces Miguel Cotto in main event. If all goes well in May, Reynoso wants Canelo to return in the month of September.

Well the WBC says that Kirkland and Vanes have to fight and Canelo would have to fight the winner.

If he beats the winner of that fight I would be totally cool with him fighting Floyd.

I can see that. Molina a good fighter.

Only saying Kirkland because the WBC didn't mention Molina.

Kirkland vs Canelo could be its own PPV. I get the feeling he'll fight Vanes instead because Vanes isn't as risky a fight.

Speaking of Vanes, when is he gonna step up and fight somebody good? His last 4 fights were against opponents with records of 28-11, 26-7-1, 34-8 and 18-4. What's his best win? Against an overrated Joe Greene or a washed up Kassim Ouma?

I'm telling u. 2012 is going to be a big coming out party for Canelo. First he has to handle business with Mosley, then i cud see him getting the winner of floyd cotto unless the neverending fantasy match with floyd pac happens. But if that doesn't happen, then i could see Canelo Kirkland headlining a show.
