Why are people so critical of Haye's performance against Wlad?

I don't get it, most of you call yourselves hardcore boxing fans, how did you expect Haye to fight? Have you not watched his career?

I see so many people using this argument to criticise Haye, his career, plus using it to bash him in terms of not deserving another pay day, and robbing the public. But I knew how the fight would go, I knew the problems Wlad presented to Haye and vice versa, it was always going to be a chess match. You have one guy who is a single punch counterpuncher, and another guy who likes to fight at range and ties up in close. Both fighters have stamina issues and questionable chins.

I am certain that Haye thought he would knock Wlad out, but he couldn't do it on the night because Wlad fought a brilliant fight and used his superior technique to nullify Haye Yes he talked a lot to sell the fight, but why did you as "hardcore" boxing fans buy into the hype?

Why do you feel he deserves so much critiscm when 90% of his career was very entertaining and full of knockouts. I am not trying to patronise anyone or defend Haye or his career, because everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I would genuinely like answers. I think he is an extremely talented (but flawed) fighter, and he has a good career, and I also think a lot of people on here twist facts to hate on him.

Because he ran like a biitch, threw 5 punches per round and then complained about his baby toe whilst collecting another fat paycheque for ripping everyone off again.

He's a laughing stock. Im ashamed to have ever supported him.

Because of his non performance against the little bro now he wants us to believe that he can/will do any better against Vit who is perceived by some to be the better fighter??? Hard for fans to understand his thinking other then for the $$$.........

I imagine it's because Haye rarely fought with so much caution and ****** on for 2 years he was going to destroy Wlad but in the end just ran for the whole fight and fought on the defensive.

I agree that if you took the performance and nothing else it was not too bad and better than most of wlads recent opponents, (people who say otherwise are just haters) the problem comes from all Haye's thrash talk before hand where he basically said the klits had ruined the division and that he would oblierate wlad. He talked like he was going to come out and go to war, but instead he played cat and mouse for 12 rounds and never really put it on the line. So if you want to sum it up haye talked the talk, but didn't walk the walk.

Same old boring crap, you guys are entitled to your opinion. But clearly you have no idea how Haye fights so my original point stands. You should have known what to expect, haye has rarely thrown 40 punches a round that is not his style, also you should give wlad credit for nullifying him.

he lacked heart, simple as that.

After years of talking **** he fought like a hoe. He flopped around all over the place and only tried that same freaking move over and over and over again which wasn't working. People don't respect a poor effort, especially after all the talk and hype.

Eddie Chambers & Sam Peter gave more of an effort than Haye did.

That is fair enough, he did try and put it on Wlad in the last round, but I agree he should have gone for it after round 9-10. But some people act like he could turn himself into Mike Tyson, he is a defensive fighter, always has been.

yeah if he fought the whole fight like the 12th round it would have been a hell of a fight while it lasted, though Haye would likely have been knocked out in the end.

I knew Haye ****** and his style ****** well before the fight.

As I pointed out multiple times, Haye's fights against Harrison and Valuev were worse than any Klitschko fight I've ever witnessed including the Ibragimov debacle.

Essentially Haye did the exact same thing Ibragimov did. I wonder if you were maybe a little more critical of Sultan for what he did than you are willing to be of Haye?

Read the article from Terrance Dooley yesterday. A British sportswriter who asks how Haye went from an action fighter who displayed class inside and outside of the ring to a one punch a minute unbearable c*nt not even 2 years later.

You keep telling people "obviously you havent watched Haye's fights" well maybe you haven't watched them either because a few years ago Haye wasn't a single shot counterpuncher who ran his mouth more than he fought. In fact before the Maccarinelli fight I actually had a level of appreciation for him as a fighter.
