Legendary former three-division world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. was very proud of his countryman, Juan Manuel Marquez in his third fight with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. Chavez Sr. was doing the ringside commentary for the bout, which took place on November 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Marquez lost a close 12-round majority decision, but was viewed as the winner by Chavez Sr. because he broke the myth of Pacquiao being an invincible fighter. Chavez Sr., unlike other fighters, is not impressed with Pacquiao's recent victories.

"Marquez showed that he is better than Pacquiao. [Pacquiao] is not invincible. He's not what you think he is,” said Chavez, who was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame earlier this year. “He caught De La Hoya when he was finished. Theres of jealousy as regards Pac that people have to contradict themselves all the time, proving people think with their heart, rather than their head.
