Arum may be no angel... but some of you buying Floyds BS that just so happens to coincide along with Mannys upcoming fight ( is this a tradition?) need to think about it for a sec.

No doubt about it. However what Floyd is doing is no different than what Bob did last year and yet Bob is saying that is not how it works. That's just called irony. Floyd's playing Bob's game and Bob does not like it.

The real test will be if Floyd keeps singing this tune come November 13th. If he does I expect all this nonsense of everyone crying about Floyd to stop. If November 13th roles around and Floyd is making a lot of noise while Bob is displaying the same attitude as he is now I expect everyone (media/fans etc) to jump on Bob and Team Pac to make this fight and to stop with the "this is not how it works" excuse.

In the meantime, all the he said she said is expected but does not mean ****, november 13th is what matters.

Anyway during his recent conference call, where he kicked off gabriel montoya for asking something related to the testing, arum said they agree to random ost and have agreed for two years. The next day the challenge was issued. Ellerbe said little fella but roger and floyd said pac. And said floyd wanted to do this before he got old. This is a good thing. If floyd ducks out then I'm done with him. Arum says no problem agreeing and floyd afraid so heres the oppurtunity to call bluff. If arum says anything other then yes it is arum fault. may 5 great boxing day and vegas is boxing capital of the world. The atmoshpere, endless nightlife, the strip lights, ********, pool scene with hot women in smal things, and the amount of closed circuit viewing that will be in almost every casino. All that I cannot see mgm being outbid. I can even see other casinos throwing in if needed cause vegas will benefit. I understand other venues but do you really wake up screaming daaaaaaalllaaas a week before you go? No. Great date, great location, 50/50 unless one gets greedy and we know both sides are, and challenge there. If it doesnt get done this time then boxing will die.

Thank you KING. I try hard to keep things FACTUAL, and it's always an uphill battle with all the drek coming rolling down at me. And I rarely get any credit. I've never experienced so much since I left East Side Boxing about 7 years ago. I thought that THEY were the experts in drek.

You know, promoters get around 25-30% of the purse etc. and anyone who wants to look up "promoters" on the internet will see that a good one more than earn his money. If they don't do a good promotion, and get a good turn-out as well, they pay the difference from their own pockets. They are responsible for even the plastic coffee spoons and paper napkins. It's an education to read about it.

I keep seeing the old yarn about Arum ..."I was lying yesterday now I'm tellig the truth".... etc. and they keep bringing this up to show he's a habitual liar, not the Best promoter in the world doing his usual job of trying to make the best promotion, stretching the truth a little as ALL promoters do. It's all a battle of the best press coverage.

Well, I looked into that quote and found that Arum was caught by a crowd of journalists one night, and they had more than a few drinks, and lots of things were said, including the usually careful Arum saying a little too much. I couldn't find out what they were talking about, but probably more than a 90% chance that it was trivial;it was all supposed to be just chit-chat and "off the record" anyway.

The next day, when sober, he was asked about someting he'd said the night before and his reply didn't jibe with what he'd previously said. He was taxed with this as only journalists can leap on things. So he quipped" well, I was lying last night, and I'm telling the truth today" as a quick answer and likely tongue in cheek as well.

So that's the whole story of this "world shaking revelation"........ All the Best. Edgar G.

Agreed man..especially the part in bold. I know how it goes.. so I just glance over posts for the most part. Interesting about how that quote of Arum came out.. never knew that. Take it easy Edgar.. you already know some of the posters here are.. most are a lost cause.. but we do have some good ones on here that I do actually take the time to read.

Ok so why are you bringing up the past?

Team Mayweather and Floyd himself have recently just said that they want the fight in May.

Everybody got excited and then boom.....Bob Arum starts the excuse train again.

What fight? Like Ellerbe said against a "little fella?" Like Ellerbe said "Floyd Mayweather" (jr or sr???) doesn't take xylocaine? They spit out so much legalese that Taco Bell addicts fall for their crap every time.

No **** Sherlock....locations are negotiated by both sides, not one. So you can take the question to team Mayweather as to why they didn't negotiate with team Pac.
