I really like malinaggi as a guy and he has a real warriors heart, I hope he gets Alexander and boxes his ears off. I just hope he doesn't get fed to Brook as that fight is off no benefit to either fighter. Brook vs Berto=FOTY!

Paulie is a good boxer, but I still can't see how people keep bringing that guy up in potential big fights. Everytime he steps up, he loses. How has that guy gotten fights with Cotto, Hatton, and Khan...it's crazy. He still looked fresh and quick at WW, but I don't see him beating Berto, Ortiz, Alexander, or Khan at WW (assumming Khan carries the weight fine). Ortiz and Berto would KO him, but he might have a chance against Alexander if he can out-box him. However, Alexander is quick as well, and has much more pop than Malignaggi, who was trouble a few times by LORA.

My dream at 147 for the people not named Mayweather or Pacquiao would be...

Brook-Senchenko in March 2012 for the WBA title
Ortiz-Berto 2 in April 2012 for the IBF title
        Alexander-Malignaggi in February 2012
        Khan-Aydin in March 2012

Khan-Brook in July 2012 for the WBA title
        Ortiz/Berto-Alexander/Malignaggi for the IBF title

        Than...

Mayweather vs. Khan/Brook in December 2012 for the WBC and WBA titles
Pacquiao vs. Ortiz-Alexander-Berto (who ever comes out of those fights) in November 2012 for the WBO and IBF titles.

Assumming May and Pac don't fight, that would be my dream at 147

Paulie went from annoying punk to a fan favorite due to his performance. He can still easily outbox anyone outside the top 10, so naturally he still gets some play.

This is a good post and those are the matchups I'd like to see as well, good stuff. However, I'm sure HBO was thinking about something like this with their welterweight tournament, but DiBilla said he wasn't interested in putting Berto in there
