    He didn't "knock him out" anyone reading that headline would think Petrov was sparked, he got a tko after the overenthusiastic ref refused to let a game petrov continue after a knockdown

      a "game" petrov? the guy laid down. he fought nothing like live seen of him in the past and there were no complaints when the fight was stopped. paycheck time.

          Maidana dominated the rounds. Petrov did nothing but clinch.

            i thought it wasn't a title fight, but boxrec says otherwise. hmm interesting. petrov put up a good fight, but it was all made to make maidana look good in front of his fans. no surprise there.
            maybe they had the 3kd rule in effect, that would explain the early stoppage.

                    If that's a joke then Devon Alexander is an even bigger joke because I don't think anyone except those biased judges and his family had him winning Devon's last 3 fights.

                    And what's even a bigger joke is Matthyse getting robbed back to back in the US to more biased judges. Matthyse should have been champ TWICE. Now that's a joke.
