Cmon, not doubting that Manny hasn't improved and that he's P4P King but JMM brings to the ring the best match up Manny has seen since their last fight

And have you ever seen a JMM fight? he doesn't get KO'd, who knows how his brain works but he never gets drunk after a KO, he's back up in a flash

I want to see how Manny acts after getting tagged for the first time in years

I know Manny is fav but don't count JMM out, he's given him his best matches of his late career

Why is it that all of these guys you mentioned ... welterweights, go into survival mode and can't take a punch from a man that's moved all the way up from the lighter divisions???? but when he was fighting the likes of barrerra, morales, Larios, and even marquez... they would **** toe-to-toe with him and take the punches. - sure, they'd get knocked down, but they would get up and continue ****ing. but now he's the strongest puncher in all of boxing???? i just want to know the logic behind this??

plus pacman is a better all around fighter than he was before.. if u really think he is still the same then u just hate the guy.. u make it seem like a person cant improve. if pac fought those bigger guys back then when pac was fighting those smaller guys i bet pac would get KO or seriously hurt.

What does that have to do with Pac fighting JMM? Or Pac knocking JMM down several times in previous fights?

Again, JMM needs to withstand the early rounds and just survive. He's destine to lose in the WW division, we all know that.

This fight is more about how Pac will look vs a style that is known to give him problems rather than being a good match up. It shouldn't be especially when some people go as far to declare how great Pac's recent opposition has been.

This fight is merly a test to see if Pac's technical skills have improved nothing more nothing less.

An old LW should be an EASY EASY EASY walk in the park for Pac. Anything less will validate that

            A. Pac's getting old.
            B. Pac still CAN'T handle a defensive counter puncher well.
            C. All the above.

This is common with all counter punchers like Floyd in the Mosley fight. He got caught bad in the 2nd round. But once he realized where the punches were coming from he had Mosley figured out. That is why Mosley's success ended after that round.

Marquez is a similar animal. He was caught badly by Pac in the first round of the first fight. The second fight he got too trigger happy after landing a punch combo as Pacquiao was moving back after his own attack. He visibly hurt Pac more than he had in their previous 14 rounds and went for a knockout. Obviously Pac's offense was too much for Marquez to go toe to toe with. But the main point is that Marquez did not get knocked down after the 3rd round of either fight. I believe all of Marquez's knockdowns have come early on.

I believe this fight will be a report card assesment of Pacquiao's growth as a fighter since 2008. I believe we will shocked at how well Pacquiao can handle Marquez this time around. I agree weight and age are a factor but Marquez is still a top ten p4p fighter, and Pacquiao has a knack for bringing out the best in JMM.

I remember reading an article in which a writer said that Pacquiao does the expected in unexpected fashion. That is what will happen here.

              Can't wait for this fight.
This is a very good take on Pacquiao/Marquez.

Where in any post did i say pac was an idiot?? making stuff up to make it seem like your response had any kind of meaning.... i asked for your opinion about his strength that's making full fledged welterweights "go into survival mode"

and when did i say that pac didn't improve as a fighter???? there you go again, referencing stuff that others have said in the past but i never touched on - to try and make what your saying relevant.

of course pac improved. but what does his technique have to do with his power now? where was this extreme punching power before? yes, he's gained muscle to move up in weight... but this would have had to have some affect on his speed, and it has not at all. look at the faces of his opponents before compared to now - and he was tagging them a lot back then without the same affect he's having now.

i like how you come on the site and defend your "god" til the death and make a point to comment and bash anybody that says anything negative about him. I bet you've never even laced up a pair of gloves before, huh?

for the record .... i'm a pac fan. i enjoy watching his fights. but since i'm not in here praising him ... i must be a ***** right??!?!?!?!?

"You *****s are all the same .... blah blah blah blah blah ....." think of a response that doesn't involve this statement ....

Are you suggesting with the question "B. Pac still CAN'T handle a defensive counter puncher well" that Marquez's style is comparable to Mayweather's so that conclusions can be drawn? If so, that is not a valid point. Mayweather and Marquez are both counterpunchers, but that is essentially where the comparison ends. Their styles, tactics and strategies are completely different. Just because somebody matches up well with Floyd, doesn't mean he'll match up well with Marquez. Just because someone matches up poorly with Marquez doesn't mean he'll struggle with Floyd. That seems to be what you are suggesting and I disagree that any such conclusions can be drawn.

I wishh JMM well but this fight will be his last!!!!
I don't believe Pacquiao will knock JMM out in the first 4 rounds. JMM is a tough SOB. Pacquiao dropped him 3 times in the first round of the first fight and he came back strongly from that. If Pacquiao gets the KO, it'll come from an accumulation of punches after round 8.

If Nacho really thinks that JMM is going to wear Pacman down in the later rounds then he is out of his mind. Manny throws over 1100 punches a fight, this is going to be a legit beat down but at this weight class did anyone really expect anything different. At least JMM will shut his mouth for good after this and stop embarrassing Mexicans by crying like a ***** about the last two fights.
