        yes, and he also copied his stance and attack style from fencing as well. lee saw the bigger picture outside of traditional chinese martial arts. he took what his master ip man did in perfecting wing chun even further.

          You can also look at his remaining disciples, like Dan Inosanto...
          These guys are the Floyd Mayweather of JKD/MMA, uber skills in fighting techniques.

          Pick up what works, and use what's necessary to win (in a fight).

            Ted wong and dan inosanto never entered any formal competition so their actual level of talent is a mystery and all I have to judge them by is their knowledge.

            But as far as the likes of steve mcqueen they were beating far more talented and experienced fighters simply because of bruce lee's emphasis on conditioning.
