Comments Thread For: Photos: Saul Alvarez in Great Shape at Big Bear Camp

WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is training hard at his camp in Big Bear, California. Alvarez is preparing for the second defense of his title on September 17th at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Alvarez will face the always outspoken Alfonso Gomez. This will also be the third fight of the year for Alvarez, who already in 2011 won a decision over Matthew Hatton and stoped Ryan Rhodes. photos by Gene Blevins/Hoganphotos.

What love to see oscar come back and fight. He won't be able to fight the A listers but he cud still get a dance partner that would generate a million ppv buys. Oscar vs chavez jr or oscar vs hatton or oscar vs marquez

canelo looks ready, as always. hopefully he puts on a good performance. also, the only fight i'd want to see de la hoya in would be against chavez jr, even though some suggest a mosley bout, i'm not too sure on that. dela hoya is done though

I think his Sparring partner an obvious wannabe Floyd looked better than him

I really liked what he said @ 2:39. Gives me a little hope that Canelo is not as beachmade as I think he is..

Hopefully, he does start facing the big names soon.
