Do you ever get big fights on free TV (non subscription) there or when was the last one? I remember the likes of Calzaghe vs Lacy and Froch vs Pascal were here but they were the last big ones. Fury vs Chisora was on free TV but that was a domestic between 2 prospects.
I can't remember the last time there was a big fight on non-subscription TV. Even for something like ESPN Friday Night Fights you have to pay for at least basic cable.
We have to pay an expensive subscription to Sky Sports channels to be able to view US/foreign fights. If these fights were PPV here they would simply not sell. You can't subsidise a product to a group who have no demand for it.

We have to pay expensive subscriptions too for HBO and/or Showtime....then on top of that we pay for the PPVs.
