"some loved the crackpipe like a beautiful wife"
glad Mike is in, he deserved it
      article is correct
only for a few years, but Mike was baddest man on the planet
love whores, but not Robin Givens
      screw her, bitch ruined everything
too much hate on Mike for problems after his prime was over
prime alone was enough for him to get HOF

Truer words could not have been written. That was Michael Gerard Tyson in a nutshell. He graced us with his gift however brief it was. And he lived through all the madness and mayhem to witness his induction into the HOF.

He can now join Frank Sinatra and sing it like a true champ...

If Mike could of had the right people in his corner and stayed hungry, he could have been the best heavyweight champion ever.I have never seen a heavyweight with the power of George Foreman and the speed of Ali. He is known for his brutal KO's, but he was actually a sound technical boxer with excellent defense and a great jab.He just so happened to have a big punch. If he could have went into the 90's and defeated Rid**** Bowe,Lennox Lewis, and Holyfield, I would have ranked him over Ali. I think Don King ruined his career when he put those bums in his corner.Robin Givins had a lot to do with his downfall as well.Cus's people kept him grounded and under control. After his death and the firing of Kevin Rooney, he lost his discipline and his skills in the ring. He went from a boxer who threw fast flurries, great head movement, great counter puncher, with a great jab, to a brawler that looked for the KO with 1 punch. His life became a circus or sideshow act.Its almost a tragedy. But now I see he has gotten his personal life together and have left the drugs alone. So, I guess he's at peace with himself now, which is great. In his young prime, there are only a few heavyweights in history that I can imagine beating him. Ali is 1, but I think Tyson would give him hell. Maybe Holmes and Foreman, but who else? Its hard to imagine the older generation dealing with his combination of power and speed. Holyfield would probably always give him problems, but I think he would catch Lennox and Bowe. But that's all just speculation.I appreciate what he did accomplish in the ring. And believe me, there will never be another "Iron" Mike Tyson. Cong**** Champ!!

tyson's best wins are against two fighters who already had one foot into the retirement door.

haha, but wait wait wait. he wasn't in "his prime", was he?! HAHA. yeah, tyson did it "his way" alright. now he's a bloated, 300 pound loser who has to rely on handouts and odd jobs about racing pigeons and such.
Before he got his ass handed to him in Japan he couldn't be stopped. The aura of invincibility he projected was highly convincing throughout the world and it went along well with his skills. He simply dominated before he took the fall from grace by his own doing.

I mean even if he did fight bums, he made it look spectacular and people (fans and non-fans alike) craved his return to the ring. Hence the ginormous box office and PPV receipts he generated.

Yep, Mike beat himself first and THAT was the beginning of the end for his career.

What other heavyweight boxer before or since had the quickness and explosiveness and knockout power Mike displayed? When he was the reigning champ he was a phenom and a beast.
