I think this was mentioned after the 2nd attempt to make the fight when GBP denied that there were talks going on even when HBO mentioned that there were actually talks that happened. Arum was probably exasperated with the whole thing which is why he felt that it would have been easier if it was handled by King.

But Floyd is his own man, not even King will be able to convince him to fight Pacquiao.
