Looked like the same old Maidana to me, it's just his opponent wasn't allowing himself to be bullied.

Was Maidana weight drained? or did he respect Morales too much?

Lol at all the pissed off Mexicans coming in here saying Maidana is shit.
Where did Maidana make an excuse? You can't say he is making excuses because a random poster makes a thread.

I agree with the original TS. Maidana seemed lackluster and faded late into the fight, in the Khan fight he took way more punishment and was still getting plenty of leverage behind his punches late on. Maidana was sloppy and careless, this wasn't the same Maidana that fought Khan anyway.
Props to Morales though, he done well. I still think Morales is absolutely shot to pieces though, and will be an easy nights work for JMM.

The fights I have seen by Maidana[Kotelnik, Ortiz, Cayo, Corley, Khan, Morales], he looked great energy-wise against Kotelnik, Ortiz, and Cayo...but seemed to have punched him self out against Corley, Khan and Morales. Yeah he fought strong in the 11-12 rounds of both his last 2 fights, but what the hell was he doing in the middle rounds of both of his last fights? It's no coincidence that it has only been happening recently..I really think he should move up to 147 after he fights the winner of Bradley-Khan.
TBH I think he should move up to 147 now, fight the winner of Berto-Ortiz but i'm pretty sure he wants his shot at the WBA title after Bradley vs Khan happens. Looking like an average fighter against Corley and Morales is not good at all, he should move up to 147 before he gets badly hurt for being weightdrained, he's a knock out waiting to happen as we saw Morales hurt him badly 2-3 times.
