Was Mosely's Parting ways with GBP a bad idea?

I know he did this to get the Big Manny fight but unless he wins I think this is his last high profile fight... Had he stayed with Golden Boy as a partner he would have longer potential income.

I just don't think it was worth it...

If he is getting about 7m with the Pac fight, how many fights do you think he needs to earn that considering that he will not get higher than 1m/fight at this stage?

You're kidding right? He won the Pacquiao sweepstakes.

No. And he don't give a damn cuz Mosley is still a draw. Whether this
will be his last performance depends how he does against Pac in the fight
        and to HIMSELF.

        BTW, Jin agrees with me.

He wasn't even getting "peanuts" from his Golden Balls "partnership. His holding was TINY, so much so that, as he says himself, they sent him a thousand dollars for his Golden Balls share and dumped him.

He says he didn't leave them that THEY dumped HIM. And the reported i formation is exactly tbe same.

Mosley had a contract with Golden Boy. He never had any ownership or stock in the company. B-Hop does and is an official partner. They would have had to buy Mosley out if he was a partner and that wasn't the case. His contract with the company expired and he didn't resign with them.

                he's about

to get his biggest payday ever(close to 7millie) and TR has an option on his next fight, whether it be a rematch with Pac or another fight after that..

All in all, he comes out better than he did with gbp

All the truly great fights for Mosley will be against toprank fighters.

The Cotto and Margarito will be nice options, then there is Cintron and Clottey. Then, if Shane is willing, I think a fight with Pavlik at 160 would be nice.

If he was with GBP, I can't see any good fights for him. Khan would never face him,'regardless of age, because with his power and speed, combined with Khan's chin....the risk of a highlight KO is extremely high. Other than that, he really is only left with Berto, but he can get that fight even if he stays with Top Rank.
