Nah the ref did the right thing as far as I'm concerned. He stepped in the moment he didn't respond appropriately to an incoming punch. Mosley took more damage against Vernon after getting knocked down and that fight went the distance.

montiel stumbled during his first attempt to get up, that is already a sign that he's done..poor judgement by the ref. montiel was really amazing to get up from that punch but it was obvious that he's no longer capable to continue..

it was ok. he quickly stopped the fight immediately after he saw Montiel was done. its not like Montiel took super unnecessary punishment.
it was early in the fight, and I hate when refs dont let a fighter at least attempt to beat the count.

I thought the ref handled it perfectly. Gave montiel (the champ) a chance to get up. And stopped it after two punches and when it was clearly over.

i dont know Montiel got up from the punch but ref should of stopped it he asked montiel come to me and he didnt respond at all and so the ref procceds to walk to him and grab his gloves and touch him up together and then let him fight please fernando didnt do that on his own he was out of it ref should of stopped it once he saw that fernando didnt respond to him .
